After all that time hoping England would get knocked out, to stop everyone and their Gran offering opinions on "Footy", it has finally happened. However I don't feel any happier. I did straight after the match but not now. Hoping another team loses instead of wanting your team to win is deeply unfulfilling. In hindsight it ultimately gives your rivals greater significance that they should merit.
This biannual realisation of time wasted won't stop me from doing it again of course. On the plus side I started to think that we'll be seeing less of those bloody car flags from now on.
