It's always good to go to Conwy; a very nice location to watch football. Unfortunately the ground has gone from one of the best in North Wales to largely a state of disrepair thanks to Conwy's financial troubles while in the League of Wales. It's very sad to see collapsed walls, missing seats and even misssing sections of a roof.
The match was quite entertaining, Conwy scored first before the Bala onslaught.
About midway through the fisrt a non-descript clearance was made into the stand where I was sitting. The ball connected with the rim of the roof and dislodged it. It landed not 10 inches from the seat two in front of me. It could have been fatal, or least embarrasing. Llandudno Jet Set, living on the edge.
I saw that I recognised one of the Conwy Trailists. He was an annoying overweight shop worker from Llandudno and it lifted my shattered spirits as it gave me hope of resurrecting my football career.
