Aberystywyth 1 Bangor City 0
This was one of those days that you think may be brilliant but turns out to be the opposite and medication may be needed.
It started off so encouragingly, I managed to get to Bangor in time to catch the X32 bus to Aber. I met Phil and Dewi at the stop and the anticipation started to build, but would this be ruined by the mammoth journey ahead?

Surprisingly not. A 3 hour bus journey does sound like hell to a travel sickness victim like me, or in in fact anyone that I'd told what I was doing. However when you travel through such beautiful countryside it does seem enjoyable. We got to Aber at about 12:20, Dewi and Phil went to the pub and I set off for a hat, owing to the sub-zero temperatures. I also went to see the seafront (for the first time in 20 years) It's funny but I remeber Aber being larger than this.
I had no luck with the hat search. We all met up in the Wetherspoons and then set off for the game. There didn't seem many Bangor Ultras here today. Apparently if a lot had turned up the clubhouse would be shut, due to some misunderstandings in the last couple of visits. However the Aber under 5s were out in force and with a drum!!! They sang all game so there was a bit of an atmosphere.

The game was awful, Aber's goal came halfway through the first half. It was a shot that carried on the wind like a paper aeroplane and flew straight into the net. Apart from an offside goal by Robbo (which I probably looked like an imbecile celebrating) City didn't create much. Such a long way for so little!!! One entertaining point was seeing Dewi playing 3 and In with some kids behind the goal, with such finishing Bangor may have not have to look very far for a new striker.
