Bangor City 3 Caernarfon Town 1
Loosemoore's Challenge Cup
With Dan's wedding taking place on Friday I missed the win against Welshpool, but now it was back into action. There was pre-match news that Wayne Phillips had resigned as the Cofis manager. I consequently thought that this should now be a tad easier as they would be in shock a little. My optimism was well placed as the blues won fairly easily.
At first I had thought reports about Phillips' demise were premature as he was warming -up with the rest of the team, never mind we'll still beat 'em. The score was 1-1 at half time but we could have scored more. Sion Edwards looked good for all the half.
The second half was better, the goals came from Robbo and Stott. Young McGuinness looked very accomplished for a 16 year old, another gem from the academy. As Bangor won it makes you question the wisdom of Ogilvy leaving in the summer.
A League Cup Win!!!!
