Off to Maesdu Park again

Llandudno Town 1 Glantreath 1
Cymru Alliance League

I'd read in the Daily Post that my nemesis Robbie Williams had joined Llandudno but I didn't let that put me off from going. It's a good signing for Llandiuno as he's played at a higher level.

My effect as a good luck charm for Llandudno may be wearing off as it was Glantreath that scored as soon as I went in this time. Llandudno tried to score. Through bad finishing and a good performance from the goalkeeper they were unable to acheive this and it was 0-0 at half-time.

In the second half the match took on the look of the reinactment of a pitched battle more than a football match. You could sense that the match was only a couple of bad challenges away from boiling over into a mass brawl. The referee seemed to be aiding the situation to develop by playing the advantage frequently, even when Paul my mate was lying prone by the centre circle. This was either a refreshing change from the Premiership or the ref had lost control of the game, perhaps a little of both.

Llandudno should have scored a couple but wasted the chances or hit the woodwork. Glantreath looked to hit Dudno on the break and it took a last minute penalty for Llandudno to draw level.

As I was leaving I noticed that Llandudno's assistant manager was striding purposly towards the manager's room for a frank and honest disscussion, about life in general I'm sure.
