Colwyn Bay 2 Woodley Sports 1
Unibond League Division 1
Owing to a miscalculation with the train timetable I only arrived at half Ttme. After a cold walk from the station to I was greeted by a new addition to the landscape of the Bay's ground: a fence and a new gate. That this was the kind of fence that is usually found around industrial estates and other secure premises it doesn't really help create a welcoming ambience. Luckily from what I've read in match reports the team made up for this. A Woodley Sports substitute informed me that they were leading 2:1. As the second half proceeded on its way I noticed that the Bay had re-signed Paul and Robbie Williams from Llandudno. The game was quite good but it wasn't exactly end-to-end. As the half wore on the Bay pushed up a bit more and created some chances. The frequency of the howls emanating from their faithful indicated that the Bay were still in the game.
Colwyn Bay finally scored as I was on my way to the clubhouse to check Liverpool's score (and warm up a tad also). Unfortuanely there were no more goals after that but I did see Bleo in his manager's coat strolling around the ground, would any of these players be gracing Farrar Road?
During the second half the fog drew in. Considering that it was still daytime this was probably one of the darkest matches that I'd ever been to. There was an errie feel to Llanelian Road today.
A very misty Christmas
