Fixtures and failings

Tonight Bangor are playing away in Llanelli. Wonderful, a mid week trip to South Wales. Therefore no Bangor fans will be there. Most of the players are from the North West of England they will be knackered by the time they get there. On top of that they are part-time so will have to have at least of two days offs or if only one day off, an early start, long drive back and then a couple of hours sleep before starting work tommorrow. Bangor aren't the only ones suffering, Welshpool have a trip to Porthmadog.

What's the matter with the fixture planners? Why couldn't we play on a Saturday? Llanelli could have switched, I mean they played Camarthen two weeks ago on a Saturday. Mind you I don't think that this is a Welsh problem as Hinckley has to travel to Cumbria to play Barrow tonight. It's alright if you are full time but if you are like Bangor then it is another obstacle to acheiving something and from what I can tell it has been a problem since the beginning of the league; Conwy once had to play two game in two days in South Wales. All I can say is at least we aren't in contention for the league
